West Saddle Ridge Property

West Saddle Ridge is a family owned farming and cattle ranch. This property borders the Niobrara River, Bear Creek, and Jewett Creek. It consists of alfalfa and oats fields, native grasses, creek and river bottoms. The creek and river bottoms have huge cottonwood trees ideal for turkey roosts with plenty of protection from the elements. It is very common for huge flocks of turkeys to winter around the house and corrals just waiting to strut for you come spring. The deep pine covered canyons, oak trees and fields are a Haven for a plentiful deer herd. This area is low impact and we only take a limited number of hunters for quality game management for better than average Horns and Beards. Mule deer are to the northern part of the property where timber is thicker and land is a little more rugged. The Whitetails hang around the southern part of the property near the river and fields.

Spring and Fall Merriam Turkey Hunts

Self guided turkey hunts are $550.00 per person for 2 birds, three day hunt (does not include permits). This price does include a sleeping, cooking facilities and property tour of the active roosting area, strut zones and travel corridors. In the west hunting unit there are an unlimited number of permits issued.

White Tail and Mule Deer Hunts

Self guided archery or Black powder hunts are $1500.00 per person for a 5 day hunt (does not include permit) This price includes a sleeping cabin, cooking facilities and a property tour of travel corridors and active feeding and bedding areas. Semiguided firearm deer hunts are $2000.00 per person for a 4 day hunt (does not include permit) This price includes a sleeping cabin, property tour of the travel patterns of game, pick up and drop off from hunting blinds and help with game retrieval and cleaning.
